I have been building and maintaining standards compliant websites for over ten years. Many of the earliest sites did not age gracefully. My more recent work examples are availiable above.

A gaming community website www.deadforest.net provides forums and news updates for a group of over 500 individuals.

The deadforest site has a custom php application that generates a new front page whenever new content is added. This generation only happens when the page's information is updated to make regular updates easy while lessening the server side impact under load. The client also had a set of legacy phpBB2 forums that needed to be patched up to date, skinned to match the front page, and modified to integrate better with their loyalty reward system. Although many changes were made to the reward system to integrate it with the site it was reliant upon an in-game application. This application was contracted by the clients through a third party developer and was unfortunately not delivered.

An online autobiography www.davidcrook.net allows free access to the memoirs and writings of David Crook.

David Crook led an extraordinary life, overcoming significant obstacles. This site is primarily a book, and as such needs to be easily readable. An older site existed and the clients wanted to move to a more navagible and legible layout. Support also needed to be provided for modern e-book readers such as kindle. Better integration of the image heavy components of the site with the autobiography is also a driving force. The site has been kept as malleable as possible to allow massive changes to text size and shape. This site is still in development.

"Blox" is a java game closely based on the brick smash "genre".

Although by no means an innovative new design, significant additions to the game including mobile blocks, everything affected by physics and a clean graphic design help to raise it above the crowd. Accepts new level construction and a persistant high scores table. Currently unavailiable.
